耶穌為人類救恩付上贖價。

英雄各有精彩絕倫的壯舉。主日學的老師總會對這些聖經偉人讚口不絕，
對其所展現的勇氣與決心津津樂道。然而，多少人會談論以撒的英勇行為，
他又是如何出類拔萃？不常，但他的故事，卻是不容忽視的。

以撒雖不是威風凜凜的英雄，諸如參孫或大衛，但他卻具備一種特質，
甚至連好些偉人也缺欠的。那就是「服從」。當亞伯拉罕聽到神的呼召，
要他獻上獨生子時，以撒並沒有掙扎或拒絕。歷史學家指出，
以撒當時大約二十來歲，絕對有能力制伏年邁的父親，脫離險境。
可是，以撒捨棄了一切希望、夢想以及未來，全然服從父親。
他認識到順從父親是多麼重要；同樣，父親也必須服從神。

當以撒到了適婚年齡，要談婚論嫁的時候，他選擇順從父親的意願，
讓僕人尋覓合適的人選。這象徵著聖靈會為我們選擇配偶，
我們不須用人意的方式進入婚姻；從此，更看到以撒對父親的單純和順從，
這特質可是前所未有的，在整本聖經中也很少見到。主耶穌是另一個例子，
祂存心順服父神，以至於死！以撒一生雖不是充滿著英勇戰鬥或傳奇壯舉等事跡，
但單憑他的性格，就足以讓他在聖經偉人中佔一席位。效法以撒，
就等同認識到順服的重要性，且明白到神會因而賜予我們豐盛的生命祝福！
